A heavy antique brass saucepan with cast metal handle. The saucepan itself measures approximately (see later) 6.75in in diameter at the rim and just under 5.5in at the base. The cast metal handle is approximately 7.875in long (about 14.5in therefore from the tip of the handle to the opposing side of the saucepan) and is affixed to the saucepan by means of copper rivets.
The rim of the saucepan is somewhat out of kilter (hence the very approximate measurements and the relatively low price). The brass is pitted in places with age spots and there appears to be a paint smudge on the inside of the saucepan. However, the saucepan is structurally sound. Exact age unknown but believed to date from sometime during the nineteenth century. No visible makers marks. Weighs over 1.5kg.
