A small vintage, possibly antique, pipe with the bowl being held by a claw or talons, and presented in a fitted case.
This item has condition issues, and the price asked reflects this, so please read carefully. The hinges of the case itself are present but have become detached from the upper part of the box. The catch to the box does not appear to be working. The stem to the pipe has snapped in two, although the screw element of the stem is still in working order (see photographs). The stem appears to be made of amber, and we are not absolutely certain but we think that the main body of the pipe might be amber too. It may be that the box could be repaired, and the stem to the pipe replaced, but we have no expertise in pipes, whatsoever, and therefore are selling this item in an As Found condition, rather than for restoration.
The pipe, when whole, would measure approximately 3.375in from the tip of the stem to the outer edge of the foremost talon.
