A miniature Inuit sledge, driver and dogs (probably huskies) carved from sustainable walrus ivory. The harness is represented by a piece of brown cord.
There are a few minor nibbles to the base of the sledge, but whether these are natural or not is difficult to say.
The sledge measures just under 2in long along the runners and the largest of the dogs measures just over 0.625in nose to tail.
NOTE: Walrus tusk ivory has been commercially carved by the indigenous people of the Arctic, including the Inuit, Inupiaq and Yupik of Greenland. Walrus tusks can attain up to 1metre in length.
