A vintage, possibly antique, boxed set of engraved servers comprising a large spoon and fork, with blind escutcheon on each of the handles. The servers bear the marks J.B and EPNS and this is believed to be the mark of Jonathan Bell of Sheffield. The fitted interior of the box is lined with dark blue sateen and plush.
There is evidence of some light scratching to the servers commensurate with age and use, and the box has a few scuffs (ditto) but otherwise the servers, and the box itself, are structurally sound.
The spoon measures just under 9.75in in length and the five tined fork measures approximately 9in at its longest. Exact age unknown but probably dates from the earlier part of last century.
