A vintage wide gold tone link metal collar necklace with roundels on opposing sides.
Please note that the actual colour of the necklace is a more dull brass colour than is evident in the photographs. The necklace is possibly made of brass (we are not sure) and the catch is in working order (unusually instead of pulling the spring back to release the catch, you pull it up gently to release). No visible makers marks. There is some evidence of soldering on the underside of the necklace but we believe that this is probably from manufacture, rather than later repair. The necklace would probably benefit from expert cleaning, although personally we like the dull brass/bronze appearance.
The necklace measures just over 15in along the shortest side (excluding the catch) and is just under 1in wide. The large single roundel measures just over 1.5in in diameter, and the two roundels either side of the catch measure just over 1.25in in diameter. Exact age unknown but believed to date from the first to middle part of last century. Weighs just over 100g. Stand not included.
