A relatively large engine tooled silver tone metal (probably silver plated) cigarette case, more useful nowadays probably as a desktop photograph frame, with gold tone metal borders and piano style hinge.
The case opens crisply to reveal two internal compartments with elastic retainers (sadly these have lost their elasticity). No visible makers marks. There is however some light engraving of a previous owner’s name which appears to be somebody called Perkins.
The case is structurally sound but there are some scratches to the interior and slight scuffs to the exterior which we have been unable to remove.
The case measures just under 5.75in by just under 3.5in, and is about 0.5in at its deepest. Exact age unknown but probably dates from the first part or middle part of last century. Weighs about 185g.
