A small collection of matching vintage embossed bottle or decanter labels (four in all) with the words of the relevant spirit or drink engraved in capitals across the centre - sherry, port, brandy, whiskey.
The labels are believed to be silver plated but there are no makers or other marks that we can find. There is a white metal chain attached to each label and these are all held together by a central ring (key ring type). Although the borders of the labels are rococo in design, the central lettering is reminiscent of the 1920 or 1930s.
One of the chains has been reattached at some stage using a replacement loop. There are a few minor surface scratches commensurate with age and usage.
Each label measures approximately 2.25in by just over 1.5in at its longest and widest (including the rococo shells). Exact age unknown but believed to date from around the 1930s. In total, the collection weighs just under 50g.
