A vintage marquetry trinket or cufflink/ring box and cover (which we believe to be made of olivewood) with camel and palm tree detail to the cover and the word Jerusalem to the front, spanning both base and cover.
There are a few dinks to the wood here and there, which we believe are mostly natural or which were made at the time of construction of the box. Otherwise the box is structurally sound.
The base measures just under 3in square and the box and lid stand just under 1.75in high. The inside aperture measures just over 2.25in square at the rim and about 1.25in deep to the top of the lining of the aperture. Exact age unknown but probably dates from the first part of last century.
