A large vintage galvanised metal funnel with red coated metal (faded in places). The inside of the funnel has a slot, but we have no idea what this might be for.
It is possible that this might be a funnel for automobiles or planes of some sort. There is a metal loop attached to the outside just under the rim, presumably to facilitate hanging.
We have looked for a makers mark but have been unable to find one. There is some faint marking on the spout, but this might be as a result of use rather than a particular makers mark.
The funnel has been lightly cleaned, and appears to be structurally sound (but with a few dinks commensurate with age and use, and believed to date from the first, or earlier, part of last century).
The funnel measures just over 6.25in in diameter at the rim and just under 12.5in long from the rim to the tip of the slightly curved spout.
Please note that the funnel has not been tested for use.
