A vintage wooden wall hanging pipe rack with apertures for six pipes (pipes not provided). Type of wood unknown but it is believed to have been stained and varnished.
The base of the rack is covered with faux leather (slightly worn in places). There are hooks fixed to the back of the rack to facilitate wall hanging. There is a slight loss of colour just above the rack (see photographs). Structurally sound, the pipe rack (or piperack) has been lightly cleaned in order to retain the patina, but might benefit from further, more expert, cleaning. In addition, there are some white paint marks to the back (see photographs) which we have been unable to remove.
The rack measures just under 8in high at its highest point (back, centre) and about 6in high at its shortest (sides). It measures approximately 10in across and the rest at the bottom measures approximately 2.5in. Exact age unknown but probably dates from the first part of last century.
