A vintage or retro pair of cold cast bronze resin bookends in the form of a woodpecker pecking at a tree trunk.
The base of each bookend is lined with red plush, which is showing signs of wear. Each base also bears a gold paper sticker with the words Ken Norris NDD with his address in Highworth, Wiltshire.
Although structurally sound, there are a few minor dinks to the bookends which we have tried to show in the photographs.
The bookends each measure approximately 6.5in high from the base to the tip of the tree trunk, and the base measures just over 4in by just under 3in at its longest and widest. Exact age unknown but probably dates from the 1980s. Together, the bookends weigh almost 1.6kg (one bookend is slightly heavier than the other). Available for sale in the UK only.
