A vintage / retro gold tone Celtic design pendant kilt pin brooch with inset agate and faux pearls, often used for ceremonial purposes.
On the back of the brooch is an integral loop so that the brooch can be used as a pendant. Also on the back of the brooch is some lettering which has been a little difficult to decipher and which looks like CELTIC CWC CANCA and then USA but we are not completely sure about this and we have been unable to identify this mark.
The gold tone plated metal is wearing slightly (this has proved a little difficult to show in the photographs) and the pin at the back of the brooch is slightly out of kilter. However, the catch appears to be in working order and the pendant brooch is structurally sound.
The brooch measures approximately 1.75in across at its widest part, and about 2.125in from top to bottom. Exact age unknown, but probably dates from around the 1970s. Weighs about 16g.
