An empty vintage Crown Ducal 1937 EMU Australian Wines Coronation commemorative decanter or flagon with (we believe) the original stopper. It was commissioned to commemorate the 1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Each side depicts a map of part of the world showing, amongst others, countries of the British Empire at that time in dark red.
There is some age related marking but otherwise the decanter appears to be structurally sound. The stopper is in working condition, although it doesn’t fit tightly in the spout. This could be due to cork shrinkage.
The flagon stands approximately 8in tall to the top of the stopper and about 6.25in across at its widest part.
