An antique / vintage copper salver or tray (possibly for cards or cocktails) by Joseph Sankey and Son (c1890 to 1932 before the company was taken over by GKN).
The rim of the salver or tray is in a pie crust design with the lower part of the rim being delicately engraved. This is a little difficult to show in the photographs. The base bears Joseph Sankey Neptune impression.
The salver / tray has been cleaned lightly in order to retain some patina, but might benefit from further, more expert cleaning. The salver is stable when placed on a flat surface. Although structurally sound, there are a few age and use related marks, including some slight surface scratching which we have tried to show in the photographs.
The salver / tray measures approximately 9.75in in diameter (rim to rim) at its widest parts and the sides stand approximately 1in high from the base to the rim. Exact age is unknown but probably dates from the earlier part of last century. Weighs just over 350g.
