A vintage or antique brass lapel pin in the form of a wishbone, with an inset mother of pearl disc, itself surmounted by a thistle emblem.
The wishbone is often used to symbolise good luck, love and/or optimism, and the thistle, in this case, probably symbolises protection.
The pin at the back of the brooch/pin is in working order and retains some of its spring.
The lapel pin has been cleaned, but might benefit from further, more expert, cleaning.
The lapel pin measures approximately 1.5in top to bottom and about 0.75in across at its widest. Believed to date from the first part of last century, or before that. Weighs just under 4g.
