An unusual tiny antique hallmarked English embossed silver brooch or pin in the shape of a spoon.

The lapel pin / brooch is hallmarked for Birmingham 1910, with the mark for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings – Frank - Shepherd, silversmiths (the impressed intials are CSstarFS).

The pin / brooch has a C clasp and pin to the back. There is no spring to the pin, but we do not know if there was ever intended to be any – possibly not.

The pin has been cleaned but might benefit from further, more expert, cleaning.

It measures just over 1.75in long, and it’s remarkable that it’s survived. Weighs just under 3g.
