An antique ivory or bone (we are inclined to the former) fruit knife with the word Mizpah engraved on one side and floral detail on the other. The knife measures approximately 2.5in long by about 0.75in at its widest and has two blades. We are in two minds as to whether this is a purely decorative keepsake or whether this is actually functional. We are reluctant to put it to the test!

Note: Mizpah is a term used commonly in Victorian (and other) times to signify a bond and a symbol that will give good fortune a safe return for those that are apart.
